Janet Abrams thanks Snehal and Sujata Shah, whose invitation to their daughter’s wedding, and generous hospitality in Ahmedabad, provided the occasion for her first visit to India in spring 2019. During this trip, Janet also visited Pondicherry and Auroville, in southeast India, where her meetings and conversations with ceramic artists led directly to the creation of QI.
